Castle Hills is the newest company of the legendary Jan Vindenes "Kjetting Jan" who is building a 30+ years legacy in industry. After growing independent from the family firm, Castle Hills was born.
Our work culture is very different from any other company. We are proud to embrace the Office-Home, a friendly and extremely comfortable work space, equipped with all the commodities a regular home would have. We have a place to sleep, a proper kitchen to prepare proper meals (Air-Fryer included!), unlimited tea, coffe and Hot Chocolate, break rooms with magazines, a Coca-Cola fridge, Apple TVs (Not just one!); and other things that all of us have in our houses such as a fully-equipped real-life Armor-Stand (Who wouldn't need one in an office?).
We of course offer our staff the option to work from their own homes, but who would want to when our office is offering all of this?
Our philosophy is to give our employees more than they need. This is common in Norway. Imagine you have one single truck for five deliverymen, while one is driving delivering a package the rest have to stand in there waiting. This can be done in countries where employees are severely underpaid, and people are getting fired all the time, so you need to have more people waiting, ready to take over the other person's job. This is impossible in Norway. Norwegian workers enjoy some of the highest salaries in the World, combined with a government that provides extremely high quality public services, such as low-waiting public healthcare, extremely modern universities with one of the highest rates of graduates in Europe, almost every single Norwegian finishes their degree, and on the minimum number of years, not every country can claim the same.
Therefore, in our Company, we need that every single employee has not just enough equipment to work now, but enough equipment to work now, later, and even during an emergency when something breaks and needs an immediate replacement. We equip our employees with large screens for their office, with office computer equipment from the best brands such as HP, Samsung and Apple.
Norway is among the best countries to work in the World. Norway enjoys near Full-Employment, meaning that there are more job offerings than job seekers in the country, almost every single person capable to work has a job. Most jobs are created thanks to the powerful Oil & Gas industry that has kept this country among the richest in the World for decades. That doesn't mean that every Norwegian works in the Offshore, what it means is that most companies are supporting in one way or another an aspect of the Oil & Gas, such as engineering, consulting, machinery, maintenance, servicing, inspections, among others.
