Fish farms are located generally in muddy terrain of not so deep waters. Therefore, they have special needs, which are reflected in the shape of their equipment. Plough anchors are shaped like plows, trapping the sand and grabbing well to the lower terrains. The most commonly used one is the Stingray, and one of the most specialized is the Mushroom Anchor, commonly needed in Norway, Iceland and Sweden due to Aquaculture.

Used plough anchors are very common in fish farming. The most popular one is the used stingray, or the used Bruce Anchor.
